The Annual (Virtuosity) License Model is Bentley’s newest license model and is a 12-month subscription license
After you purchase a license, you can assign/re-assign this License amongst your team. – this makes them easy to manage

Perpetual Licensing Explained:
The Perpetual License Model is the most traditional licensing model for MAXSURF.
This is a ‘Network’ license which you purchase upfront, and you pay an annual SELECT ‘Maintenance’ Fee to ensure you get the latest updates & 24/7 Support.
Pros:

>Larger Upfront Investment
>Risk of Overages and Term License Costs if usage not managed responsibly
Cloud Service Subscription (CSS) Licensing Explained:
The Cloud Service Subscription Model enables users to project their annualized license consumption and pre-pay the projected dollar amount into a pre-paid fund.
Every month Bentley reviews your MAXSURF usage and charges you for what licenses you.
The Licensing model is designed to give flexibility to you when you need it by allowing you to access any Bentley software application, without the need for license or long-term commitment.
Pros:
>Monthly billing accommodates an increase or decrease in software licenses without a long-term commitment
>This is a good option if you only need very occasional and short-term access to various Bentley applications
Cons:
>Most expensive licensing model (if you use a product consistently on a monthly basis)
